ACO Continuing Professional Development – CPR Courses
It is now a requirement that all registered optometrists have completed, within the last three years, training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) provided by an approved provider (Optometry Board of Australia, Continuing Professional Development Registration Standard 2010). To assist members to meet this requirement, the ACO offers CPR courses, of 3 hours duration, through the services of First Aid Management and Training Centre.
Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Members: $55
Non-members: $77
This course will provide the participant with the skills and knowledge to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation on an adult, child or infant in line with The Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
Level 2: Apply First Aid (Full Day Course)
Members: $140
Non-members: $180
This course will provide the participant with the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders until the arrival of medical or other assistance.
To attend this session a workbook is required to be read and revision sections completed prior to the course.
