PRESIDENT
Mr Ian S Douglas BScOptom PGCertOcTher FVCO
Mr Douglas was elected to Council in 2002 and appointed President in 2007. He served on the Board of Continuing Education from 1997 to 2007 and was Chair of that Board from 2003 to 2007. As the President of the Council he has an ex-officio position on most Boards and Committees. He is a partner in an independent optometry practice in Hampton.
VICE PRESIDENT
Mr Trevor S Pritchard BScOptom FVCO
Mr Pritchard was elected to Council in 1999. He has been a member of the Clinic Board of Management since 1994 and Chair of that Board since 2000. He was first appointed Vice President in 2003 and has been a member of the Executive since that time. He is a partner of an independent optometry practice in Geelong.

Ms Helen G Robbins BScOptom BA MHA PGCertOcTher LOSc
Ms Robbins was elected to Council in 1996. She was formerly an ex-officio member of Council 1986-1988 by virtue of her position as joint clinic administrator of the College. She was Chair of the Professional Standards Committee in 1997 to 2002, served on the Membership Committee from 1997 to 2001 and on the Professional Standards & Accreditation Committee in 2001. She served on the Board of Continuing Education from 2002 to 2007 and from 2007 will serve on the Board of Professional Development. She is the principal of an independent optometry practice in Toorak.

Mr Anthony Dowling BScOptom PGCertOcTher PGAdvClinOptom PGDipBusAdmin FVCO
Mr Dowling was elected to Council in 2007. He was appointed as Chairperson of the Board of Professional Development in June 2007. He served as a full time employee of the Melbourne Optometry Clinic from 1993 to 2006 during which time he held various positions including Deputy Clinic Director. He has been in independent optometry practice in Horsham since mid 2006.
Dr Erica Fletcher BScOptom PhD PGCertOcTher
Dr Fletcher was elected to Council in May 2007. Dr Fletcher will serve as Chair of the Clinical Vision Research Australia Committee of Management from 2007. She is currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology in the University of Melbourne
Mr Graham O Hill BAppSc LOSc FVCO
Mr Hill was elected to Council in 1984 and served as President from 1991 to 2003 and as President held an ex-officio position on most Boards and Committees of the College. He served on the Board of Continuing Education in 1986-87 and was appointed Honorary Treasurer 1988-91 and again in 2003. He was appointed First Vice President 1990-91. He was Chair of the Professional Standards and Membership Committee from 2002 to 2007 and Chair of the Membership Committee from 2007. He is principal of an independent optometry practice in Shepparton.
Mr Mark BJ Letts BScOptom GradDipBusMgt PGCertOcTher FVCO
Mr Letts was elected to Council in 1996 and served as President in 2003 to 2007. He has served on the Board of Continuing Education since 1993 and as Chairman of that Board since 1996-2003. He was appointed Vice President in 1998 and Treasurer and President-Elect in 2000. From 2007 he will continue serve as a member of the Executive Committee. He is the principal of an independent optometry practice in Bendigo.
Mr Glenn A Vessey BScOptom MOptom PGCertOcTher FVCO
Mr Vessey was elected to Council in 2002. He served on the Professional Standards and Membership Committee from 2003 to 2006 and on the Clinic Board of Management from 2006. He is the principal of an independent optometry practice in Mulgrave.

Ms Booth is a member of Council by virtue of her appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the College in 2008.
Professor Liz Sonenberg BSc Hons PhD Dip Comp
Professor Sonenberg is appointed to Council by the University of Melbourne. She
has been a member of Council since 2008. Professor Sonenberg is Dean
of the Faculty of Science in the University of Melbourne.
Mrs Susan F Kalff BAppSc LOSc PGCertOcTher
Mrs Kalff is appointed to Council as the representative of the National Vision Research Institute of Australia. Mrs Kalff has been the Chair of the Board of Administration of the NVRI since 1998 and has been a member of Council since 2002. Mrs Kalff is in independent optometry practice.
