 ::  Low Vision Clinics

There are 14 Low Vision Clinics operating in Victoria and NSW. They are run by the Vision Australia Foundation in association with the Victorian College of Optometry and the Melbourne University Department of Ophthalmology.

These Clinics provide specialist optometry Low Vision care. They do not provide primary care services. Primary care services are available for eligible patients from the Melbourne Optometry Clinic. The main Clinic of the Melbourne Optometry Clinic is located in Carlton. General clinic services are also available at the regional clinic sites at Broadmeadows, East Preston , Doveton Hallam, Braybrook and Frankston.

Eligibility

Patients assessed as having low vision can attend the Low Vision Clinics with a referral from their ophthalmologist or optometrist.
