Clinical Services - (Metropolitan)Services by Eligibility

| Eye Examinations | The Clinic provides specialist optometric care through its various clinics which are staffed by optometrists. The cost of specialist consultations may be met by Medicare. If the test is required for vocational use, no Medicare rebate is available and the individual is charged directly. |

| Contact Lens Services | Contact lenses can be provided
at moderate cost for those who need contact lenses to achieve
good vision. All types of contact lenses are available from
the Clinic, including specialist contact lens fittings for
patients with keratoconus and corneal grafts.

| Paediatric Services | Any child under the age of 18
can be seen in our Children's Clinic. Staff are experienced
in the diagnosis and treatment of children's ocular conditions,
such as amblyopia, strabismus, accommodative/vergence disorders
and delayed development of visual information processing.

| Disability Services | Services for people with intellectual, physical, sensory and/or multiple disabilities are available. These services can be provided at the main clinic in Carlton, or an off-site visit can be arranged through the Visiting Disability Service. |
| Visual Functions Clinic | The Melbourne Optometry Clinic provides a number of specialist services, such as colour vision assessment, visual field analysis and ocular photography. You may be referred into this clinic by your own eyecare practitioner or as a result of your eye examination in the Clinic. |
| Ocular Disease Services | Several clinics are available to manage the detection and monitoring of ocular diseases:

| Low Vision Clinic | Patients who have a loss of vision
not correctable by spectacles or contact lenses may be helped
at a Low Vision Clinic which can provide assessment and advice,
as well as various forms of optical assistance to make the
best use of remaining vision.

Available Locations
These services are all available from the main Carlton. If you are a new patient to the Clinic, you need a referral letter from your private optometrist or medical practitioner.
