Services by Eligibility

 ::  Department of Veteran's Affairs

If you hold a Department of Veterans' Affairs Gold or White Card in your own name, you are welcome to attend the Melbourne Optometry Clinic.

A referral or letter of introduction from your eyecare practitioner is required if you are under continuing or current eye care. In addition, all patients who have attended an optometrist in the last 2 years are requested to bring a letter of referral or introduction from that optometrist if appropriate.

Services

Eye Examinations

The Clinic provides primary optometry care through its General Clinic which is staffed by optometrists and optometry students under the supervision of registered optometrists. The costs of most optometry consultations are covered by Medicare. The Clinic bulk bills consultation fees and so normally no consultation fee is payable by the patient.

All aspects of your visual function are investigated including binocular vision, eye health and your spectacle prescription.
